App Description:
App provides information throughout interactive games that teach students about states' geography and facts about their capitol cites and facts about their state monuments. The app also provides flashcards and a map that can be used to test students' knowledge of the states' information and geography. This app provides very fun games which will make learning the information fun for students. They will not even realize they are learning!

Teachers who can give students access to iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch technology can have their students practice identifying and learning facts about the United States. If a class had access to the appropriate technology, teachers could have students work on this app during their social studies stations in order to review and practice identifying facts about the states. This would work well with fifth grade when students are required to memorize the state capitols because learning facts about various states can help them internalize the information about state capitol cities.
Possible Assessments:
The app has two forms of assessment. One is geographical which requires students to know where specific states fit on a larger map of the United States. The second assessment is a flashcard assessment where students can be tested on facts about the states.
Possible Issues/ Difficulties when using these apps with students:
Teachers may want to make sure that students have learned the factual information that will be asked during the games on the app.
