App Description:
The app is easy to use and provides video lessons on a variety of different topics under different content areas.  Beneath the videos there is a written dialogue that viewers can use to follow along with the video lessons.  Reviews are able to pause, stop, rewind, and fast-forward through the videos.  The person who narrates the lesson uses the screen as a "chalk board" and uses different color to describe the lesson they are narrating.

Uses in the Classroom:
Students and teachers can use this app as a source of additional lessons and assistance for students who need more explanation of the provided topics.  Teachers can offer the lessons available on the Khan Academy app to students who need a refresher of the content and or need an additional explanation of the content they have gone over in class.  This app could be a valuable resource for students who want to review concepts before an exam.  Teachers can also use the lessons available on the app to "flip" classroom lessons.  In doing so, a teacher will assign viewing a lesson for homework and in class the next day students will be able to work on the assignments that would traditionally be given as a homework assignment.  By flipping the class, students are able to ask questions to their peers and teacher while working on the assignments in class. This can be especially useful to students when they are stuck on a problem or a concept and they need additional assistance. Students are able to ask their questions immediately when they arise while they are working on their assignments in class.

Possible Assessments:
Teachers can assess student understanding of various topics by assessing student understanding of a topic before and after integrating Khan Academy lessons into their curriculum.

Possible Issues/ Difficulties when using these apps with students:
Due to the fact that students would need internet and technology access to utilize the resources on this app, it is important that teachers provide access to appropriate technology tools so that students can utilize this useful resource.
